Hallo koninginnen!
Mijn naam is Michantely Lisse en ik heb Miss Ponytails opgericht. Met mijn achtergrond in missverkiezingen en mijn kennis van e-commerce besloot ik mijn webshop te starten. De naam 'Miss Ponytails' is met liefde bedacht door mijn lieve zus, Maïsha Molly.
Ik heb mijn portie bad hair days gehad, gewoon omdat ik niet te veel tijd aan mijn haar wil besteden. Van nature heb ik krullend haar, maar door het vaak te stijlen of te verven, heb ik mijn haar beschadigd en moest ik meerdere 'big chops' ondergaan. Een paardenstaart werd mijn go-to oplossing om mijn haar gezond te laten groeien en er toch mooi en elegant uit te laten zien in slechts 5 minuten.
Voor mij is een paardenstaart een absolute MUST-HAVE!
Het gaat niet alleen om het haar, het is een hele look, een levensstijl
Onze missie is om uw ervaring met ons zo gemakkelijk en ontspannen mogelijk te maken. We willen ook vertrouwen wekken en onze klanten de kracht geven om er altijd mooi uit te zien en zich mooi te voelen! Onze visie is om het eerste landelijke merk in Nederland te worden voor paardenstaarthaarextensies.

Who is Michantely Lisse?
Where it all started
It all started back in 2017, when I was 17 years old and decided to participate in the Miss Beauty/Teen of Noord-Holland pageant. At that time, participating in beauty pageants wasn’t as common for girls my age as it is now. I initially thought it was just a modeling contest, but soon I realized it was so much more than that.

After a few offline rounds, I was invited to the casting day in Hoorn, along with 100 other girls. At the time, I didn’t have a car, so I shared the exciting news with my mom, Jennifer de Vries. She was so overjoyed, she literally jumped for joy when she heard I was entering a beauty pageant. What I didn’t realize at the time was that both my mom and even my grandmother had their own history with pageants. So, joining felt almost like a natural step, even though I didn’t fully understand what I was getting into.

On the casting day, I decided to just be myself. I answered all the questions in both Dutch and English, walked in small heels, and most importantly, I kept smiling. My smile had always been my strength something that no one could take away from me, and it made me stand out. After a long day, the exciting news came: I was chosen as a Finalist Miss Teen of Noord-Holland! Along with 30 other girls, half of whom were in the adult 'Miss Beauty of Noord-Holland' category—I advanced to the final.

The whole journey was an incredible adventure. I stayed true to myself, enjoying every moment, every rehearsal, and every outing. I always styled my hair for special occasions, so I put some extra effort into that for this experience as well. When the final came around, it was nerve-wracking, but it became clear that my personality and presence had made a lasting impression. Not only did I win the Miss Popularity of Noord-Holland title, but I also took home the Miss Teen of Noord-Holland 2017 crown!

With this provincial win, I earned the opportunity to represent Noord-Holland at the national level in the Miss Teen of The Netherlands pageant. What started as a teenage adventure turned into a journey I will never forget.
